Winnetka bike plan in the works
Good news for Winnetka! The Winnetka Park District is working with Hitchcock Design Group to develop a bike plan for the community.
The original goal was to connect the Green Bay Trail with a local forest preserve. As it happened, thankfully, the small project expanded to a community-wide plan.
Active Trans will be part of the steering committee, along with Village of Winnetka staff, the police department, the school district, the chamber of commerce, the forest preserve and others agencies. Keep an eye out for updates as this plan moves forward.
