Cycling gains momentum in Elk Grove Village

Are you an Elk Grove Village resident with a vision for safer, more enjoyable bicycling in your community? If so, please join the Friends of Cycling in Elk Grove (FCEG) for their upcoming presentation to the Elk Grove Village Council. This televised meeting will take place at the village hall on Tuesday, March 13 at 7 p.m.

/The friends’ mission is to promote, support, and improve cycling in Elk Grove. They plan to work with the mayor, the village board, residents, and local businesses to make Elk Grove and the surrounding area more bike-friendly.

Official endorsement for the group and their activities is sought at the March meeting.

City officials have already expressed interest in revised bicycle routes and other initiatives. A strong showing of  support is needed to keep momentum going.

Bring your friends and neighbors and let’s pack the room! Contact the FCEG for more information or to share ideas.
