Chicago BRT proposals get attention

This blog article in The Transport Politic by Yonah Freemark does a great job of explaining some of the BRT plans being considered for the Chicago region and where we are in the process of making them happen.

Check out the maps included in the article to see that both Chicago Department of Transportation and the Metropolitan Planning Council include ideas for BRT in the Western/Ashland corridor. These types of service improvements could really benefit riders in this area.

There are lots of great proposals for BRT and bus improvements in the suburbs, too, like the plan for buses on the shoulder of I-55 and BRT included in the proposed reconstruction of I-90.
