Did You Know?

A bicycle commuter who rides four miles to work, five days a week, avoids 2,000 miles of driving and about 2,000 pounds of CO2 emissions each year.

Celebrating the do-gooders

Last night, we threw a party for our volunteers to celebrate the stellar work they do. There were lots of shout-outs, high-fives and full-blown awards mixed in with mingling, noshing and quaffing of frothy beverages. Attendees won loads of goodies.

Active Trans is deeply indebted to its volunteers. Volunteers fix bikes, they write newsletter articles and they ensure that our big events like MB Financial Bank Bike the Drive come off without a hitch. And that’s just the beginning. Throughout the year, they dedicate themselves to hundreds of tasks that support our work.

To all of you, we send out a hearty Thank you!

Please join us in giving a special round of applause to the following people who received awards at the party for their exemplary volunteering efforts during 2010.
