Active Trans to city council: Who will be the first Divvy bike-sharing member?

Earlier this week, Active Trans sent a note to all 50 Chicago aldermen that describes the forthcoming Divvy bike-sharing program and how great it's going to be./

Active Trans also drummed up some friendly competition by urging aldermen to be the first Divvy member from city council.

With a June launch scheduled, Divvy will start accepting memberships next week.

Will your aldermen be the first? Who would you bet on?

We’ll let you know who is #1 as soon as signups start.

Divvy bikes will make a first-time public appearance this Sunday at MB Financial Bank Bike the Drive.

Swing by the Divvy booth at the post-ride festival to get an advanced peek at the bikes. There will be a raffle and gift certificates that can be used for Divvy membership.

If you haven't registered for Active Trans' spectacular biking event on Lake Shore Drive yet, the clock is ticking. Prices go up once online registration closes Saturday at noon.
