Action alert: Stimulus bill round 2!
Urge your representatives to include Transportation Enhancements in the final Stimulus Bill.
Transportation Enhancements provides most of the funding for bicycle, pedestrian and transit projects. While both the Senate and the House have passed their own versions of the Stimulus Bill, the Senate version does not include any Transportation Enhancements.
This week, members of the House and Senate will conference to reconcile the differences. Make sure biking, walking and transit projects aren’t left out!
Call your representative and tell them that you want expanded transportation options. Visit the League of American Bicyclists advocacy center to find out who represents you.
