I went to see the movie "Source Code" over the weekend. It's set in Chicago, mostly on a Metra train.
Set designers, of course, reconfigured the interior of the train a bit. I was intrigued to see that they had found a way to squeeze in dedicated spots for bikes with some nifty vertical racks. (There was also an on-board Dunkin Donuts.) I don't believe any racks like this exists on any actual Metra trains.
One of the passengers who Jake Gyllenhaal interacts with also had his bike helmet with him. I couldn't help but wonder how this movie might have been different if Active Trans had never advocated for getting bikes on Metra.
