Every day, over one million people in our region rely on public transit to get to work, school, and home.
But right now, that lifeline is in jeopardy. Without urgent action from state lawmakers by the end of May, riders like you face real, immediate threats:
- Suspension of service on all or part of four CTA rail lines
- Elimination of over half of CTA bus routes
- No more weekend bus service for Pace riders
- Early morning and late evening Metra service cuts
- A major hit to our regional and state economy
These aren’t distant possibilities — they’re real consequences we face without bold, immediate investment in public transit.
You depend on transit. We’re here to help you protect it. But we can’t do it without you.
We’re organizing two Transit Days of Action to fight for $1.5 billion in funding and critical reforms. Your voice is powerful — when riders speak up, lawmakers listen.
Join us for a quick meet-up on one of the following days to hand out flyers at train stations and bus stops, urging riders to contact their lawmakers:
- Thursday, May 8 – Downtown Chicago
5:15 p.m. – 6 p.m., Meet at our office (35 E. Wacker Dr., Suite 1782) - Tuesday, May 13 – Downtown Chicago
5:15 p.m. – 6 p.m., Meet at our office (35 E. Wacker Dr., Suite 1782) - Tuesday, May 13 – Belmont Red Line Station
4:45 p.m. – 5:30 p.m., Meet at the Belmont Red Line Station (949 W. Belmont Ave.)
Each meet-up will start with a short huddle to share tips and materials before heading out to canvas for 30 minutes.
It’s an easy, high-impact way to support transit and make your voice heard.
If we act now, we can secure the future of public transit and keep our region moving. If we don’t, the consequences will be felt by every rider and every community.
