This year marks 40 years of Active Transportation Alliance advancing walking, biking and transit in our region.
To celebrate, we’re looking for an artist to design a poster that will be sold exclusively at Bike the Drive in our Active Transportation Alliance Village, which will take place on Sunday, August 31, 8 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at Butler Field (350 E. Monroe St.).
The art should celebrate and highlight the work Active Transportation Alliance has done in the Chicagoland for the past 40 years.
The selected artist will receive:
- $500 stipend
- Promotion of final design with artist credit on all our social media (Instagram, Bluesky, Facebook, and LinkedIn)
- An exclusive email blast of final design with artist credit sent to more than 20,000 people
- Space in our Expo Tent to feature and sell other artwork during the Bike the Drive festival
Complete online proposal submission form by 11:59 p.m. on July 14th.
Timeline
- July 14 – Proposal Submission due
- July 17 – Artists will be notified of selection
- August 18 – Final artwork due
- August 31 – Bike the Drive
About Bike the Drive
Bike the Drive is a fundraiser for Active Transportation Alliance. For over 5 hours, riders can ride as much of the 30-mile loop as they’d like on DuSable Lake Shore Drive from 57th St to Hollywood Avenue.
