Join Active Transportation Alliance staff and invited guest speakers for one-hour regular chats for Chicago and suburban advocates during the lunch hour.
Both the city and suburban chats happen every other month.
These events provide a casual way for us to share the latest on our advocacy priorities and ways for people to take action. The Advocacy Connect chats also provide a venue for advocates to share information about work that is happening in their communities.

Chicago Advocacy Connect
The next Chicago advocacy chat will take place on Friday, January 30, 2026 at noon. Please RSVP.
- We will be hearing from Active Transportation Allaince’s campaign organizer, W. Robert Schultz III, on our involvement with CTA’s Better Streets for Buses Plan and discussing what bringing Bus Rapid Transit to Chicago can look like.
- We will also be hearing from CTA’s project manager, Jason Meter, who’ll provide an overview on CTA’s Better Street for Buses Plan and updates on the bus priority corridor study focusing on five corridors across the city:
— Pulaski Road (from Peterson to 87th)
— Western Avenue (from Howard to 79th)
— Cottage Grove Avenue (from 35th to 115th)
— Fullerton Avenue (from Grand/Nordica to Halsted)
— 55th Street/Garfield Boulevard (from Cicero to South Hyde Park)
