Holland from a cyclist’s perspective

No matter if it's recreational riding or riding for transportation, Bob Hoel loves to get new people involved in cycling.

src=http://www.activetrans.org/sites/default/files/IMG_0714.jpgHe serves as a board member with the Active Transportation Alliance and the League of Illinois Bicyclists, and he serves on Elmhurst’s Bike Task Force.

Hoel cycles for fitness, recreation, but most frequently for transportation. Hoel even brings his bicycle on vacation. He and his wife share a tandem bicycle, which they store in a specially designed 26”x26”x14” suitcase.

Recently, Hoel and his wife took a 27-day cycling trip through Holland. Hoel will be sharing a presentation about the trip on March 5, at 7 p.m. at the Glen Ellyn Public Library, 400 Duane Street.
