Did You Know?

Only 11 percent of Chicagoland residents ride transit to work.

Why volunteer for MB Financial Bank Bike the Drive?

MB Financial Bank Bike the Drive volunteers decide to lend a hand for a variety of reasons. Some people do it because they are passionate about the work of the Active Transportation Alliance. Others do it because they enjoy the opportunity to meet interesting people.

Volunteers at last year's MB Financial Bank Bike the Drive

Each year, Pamela Cooley helps out Active Trans by organizing a group of volunteers for Bike the Drive. Volunteering for Bike the Drive is a wonderful opportunity to assist those who are committed to increasing the quality of life via biking, she said. It’s so much fun for us to meet people whose paths we wouldn’t cross in our daily commutes. The cyclists are always so appreciative of the volunteers.”

Join Cooley and her group on May 29th as a volunteer. We need your help filling our remaining volunteer positions. Day-of volunteers enjoy these awesome perks:

  • Complimentary pancake breakfast
  • Volunteer T-shirt
  • Invitation to our annual Volunteer Appreciation Party

Besides helping out the day of the event, we especially need your help at pre-event Packet Pick Up locations. Volunteers receive one complimentary registration for Bike the Drive for completing a volunteer shift at a Packet Pick Up location.
