Did You Know?

Only 0.7 percent of federal transportation funds are spent on improving pedestrian facilities.

Thank you for making the Chicago Bike Swap a success!

Thanks to everyone who came to the Chicago Bike Swap this past Saturday at the Pulaski Park Field House.

And there was a series of great presentations on a range of topics.

Congratulations to Bryan Lee for winning the raffle for a new folding bike. Thanks to our friends at Caribou Coffee and Goose Island for participating, as well as the Heritage Bicycles General Store for bringing the photo booth.

Our 67 vendors enjoyed a record crowd that ranged from long-time cyclists to those interested in getting back in the saddle for the first time since they were kids — and all kinds of folks in between. Proceeds from the event benefitted the Active Transportation Alliance, Chicago Bike Winter and The Chainlink.org.

We can't wait to do it all again next year!
