Pedestrian Safety Bill Passes

The Pedestrian Safety Bill requiring drivers to stop for pedestrians (rather than yield) passed the Illinois House of Representatives today on a 60-54 vote. The bill now moves to the Senate. The bill has the support of AARP and the Illinois Association of Chiefs of Police. Thank you to Rep. Arroyo and Sen. Steans for sponsoring the bill.
