Did You Know?

Bus riders account for more than 20 percent of people using Lake Shore Drive every day while taking up a fraction of the space that cars do.

Our year in review

2010 was a busy year for Active Trans. We had record-breaking participation for Bike to Work Week, held another Bike the Drive, passed the Must Stop for Pedestrians law, completed 24 planning charettes for our community-based Better Blocks program, launched a comprehensive lesson book for our Walk Across Illinois youth education program, and still had time to plan an amazing Bike Town Bash! Not to mention all the small successes and joys we've had along the way.

All this to say, we've had a great year making things happen for you. And Active Trans is proud to say that we've been making things happen for the past 25 years. This year, we are celebrating 25 years of service to you. We've brought great improvements to the region and we hope to keep doing so for the next 25 years.

This is a special opportunity to celebrate with us and support our continuing work in Chicagoland. Please consider making a year-end gift to Active Trans that helps move us towards a world-class regional transportation network.

For every $100 donated towards our annual appeal, you will receive one entry to a raffle to win a $1000 gift card to Kozy's Cyclery– just type in APPEAL as the coupon code. To donate, click here or to learn more about our 25 years of service, click here.

Thank you for supporting us and believing in what we do!
