Lakefront Trail Update 5/8
With all of the recent heavy rain, the Lakefront Trail has quite a bit of debris and standing water in many places. Please continue to be careful of these hazards.
The annual patch and repair program is now under way on the Lakefront Trail. There area many small areas of construction going on throughout the Trail. Please be cautious of possible areas of construction as you ride the Trail. All construction should be completed by Memorial Day.
The Solidarity Drive underpass is now open. Construction staging for the Shedd Aquarium has been moved and the detour through the Museum Campus is no longer in effect. There is some concern over the soft-surface being washed onto the Trail in the underpass. CDOT will be replacing the soft-surface with asphalt in the near future.
