Join the First Ward Transportation Committee

There is an upcoming meeting for the launch of a new transportation advocacy committee in Chicago’s First Ward.

/The committee is a partnership between First Ward Ald. Joe Moreno and First Ward residents, with a supporting role from Active Transportation Alliance.

The committee will work to develop specific initiatives that will improve conditions for biking, walking and transit throughout the First Ward. The committee will hold monthly planning meetings and quarterly meetings with the alderman.

An informational and planning meeting for residents interested in participating in the committee will feature a short presentation about how similar committees currently operate in other Chicago wards. The meeting will also include discussion of initiatives to be presented to Ald. Moreno.
