DuPagers mingle at Active Trans Social
Over 25 bicycling and walking enthusiasts gathered in Wheaton last Thursday night, September 22, to meet Dan Thomas, new trails coordinator for DuPage County.
Dan’s comments sparked a lively discussion about needed improvements in bicycle facilities and education efforts. A sneak preview of Wheaton’s new bicycle plan was also provided by the city engineer and Active Trans planning staff.
Attendees were so excited about seeing the plan recommendations that questions were cut short to proceed with the agenda.
The evening concluded with more conversation and door prizes donated by Alta Planning + Design and Midwest Cyclery.
