"Cell phone users: the new drunk drivers"
It’s true. Mary Schmich is spot-on in her recent column in the Chicago Tribune – from the real dangers of driving while using a cell phone to the need for personal and social responsibility to drive safely.
We can start by supporting current legislation. HB 71 will ban most text messaging while driving, and HB 72 will ban the use of mobile phones wile driving in highway construction or school zones.
These bills will advance to the Senate after the break. Please call your Senator and ask her/him to co-sponsor these bills. Find your Senator here.
