Celebrating biking and walking in Highland Park

Over the weekend, some sixty residents turned out to celebrate Highland Park's committment to creating streets safe for everyone: pedestrians, bicyclists, motorists and transit riders of all ages and abilities.

The event was an Active Trans Social aimed at introducing bike, pedestrian and transit supporters from Highland Park and surrounding communities to one another and to Active Trans.

Highland Park Mayor Nancy Rotering and Lake County Board Member Anne Flanigan Bassi joined the celebration to show their ongoing support of active travel.
