Did You Know?

Bus riders account for more than 20 percent of people using Lake Shore Drive every day while taking up a fraction of the space that cars do.

Celebrate with us: Toast the new protected bike lanes Aug. 16 & 23!

Are you excited about all the new bikeways in Chicago? We are!

Each new project is a critical step in the development of a world-class network of bikeways that will make our streets safer for all Chicagoans.

Chicago has installed 7 miles of protected bike lanes and nearly 5 miles of buffered bike lanes, with more on the way this summer. We hope you’ll agree that these new projects call for a party.

/Let’s raise a glass in celebration of the new protected bike lanes on Elston and 55th Street, and to the enormous progress we’ve made thanks to your support.

Come check out the new projects if you haven’t seen them yet. Get to know your fellow neighborhood bike advocates. And sign thank-you cards to the aldermen, the mayor and Chicago Department of Transportation.
