Did You Know?
Distracted Driving Summit on April 13
Did you know that using a cell phone while driving, whether it’s hand-held or hands-free, delays a driver's reactions as much as having a blood alcohol concentration at the legal limit of .08 percent?
Distracted driving is a serious issue that needs more attention from the public and from our lawmakers. You can learn more about distracted driving at the Distracted Driving Summit on Wednesday, April 13 in Evanston. The event, hosted by the Active Transportation Alliance and the City of Evanston, will feature in-depth discussions by experts on why phones and driving don’t mix.
You’ll learn about the dangers associated with distracted driving and how best to protect yourself on the roadways. The three-hour summit is free of charge. It takes place 2:30-5:30 p.m. at Evanston Township High School, Room N112, 1600 Dodge Ave., Evanston.
