Berwyn South School District 100 Adopts School Travel Plan

Berwyn South School District 100 has adopted its first ever school travel plan. The School Travel Plan provides the school district and the City of Berwyn with a list of recommended education, encouragement, enforcement and engineering strategies focused on making it safer and more convenient for students in the district to walk and bike to school. The plan also includes “preferred” walking route maps for each school building.

Active Transportation Alliance partnered with the City of Berwyn and the Berwyn South School District to create the school travel plan, which was made possible by a Model Communities grant from the Cook County Department of Public Health and the US Center for Disease Control and Prevention.

Great job, Berwyn!
