Active Transportation Alliance invites you to our 2026 Movers & Shakers Ball, as we celebrate progress made and the exciting possibilities the future holds for sustainable transportation.

Thursday, April 23 | 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm | Walden Chicago (2145 W Walnut Street, Chicago)

Join us for an elegant evening of cocktails, small plates, music, and more. We’ll be honoring some of our region’s brightest stars of sustainable transportation.

Come raise a paddle to support critical advocacy, try your luck in our raffle to win exciting prizes, and make memories in our step-up photo booth.

 

EVENT TIMELINE

  • 5:30 – 6:15 pm – Welcome, cocktail hour, hors d’oeuvres
  • 6:15 – 7:15 pm – Live music, small plates, mingling
  • 7:15 pm – 8 pm – Program
  • 8 pm – 8:30 pm – Coffee, check-out, and goodbyes

 

MEET THE HONOREES OF THE EVENING

  • Illinois State Senator Ram Villivalam: Transit Superhero Award
  • Illinois State Representative Eva-Dina Delgado: Transit Superhero Award
  • Chicago 12th Ward Alderwoman Julia Ramirez: Safe Streets Champion Award

 

In addition to awards for outstanding public service, we will also be recognizing The Richard Kosmacher Fund:

  • This newly established fund honors the life and legacy of Richard Kosmacher, a longtime advocate for active transportation who cared deeply about social justice and the sustainability of our planet.
  • The fund will support Active Transportation Alliance's multi-modal work through a fellowship program and local leadership development.

 

Program includes an ASL interpreter.
