Chicago celebrates Transit Equity Day with Rep. García, Kelly

We hope you can join us for Chicago’s first Transit Equity Day celebration on February 4 at noon. This virtual event will feature U.S. Representative Jesús G. “Chuy” García, U.S. Representative Robin Kelly, and other community leaders who will discuss the critical nature of transit in creating greater equity in the Chicago region as we recover from the COVID crisis.

Transit Equity Day serves as a national day of action that commemorates the birthday of Rosa Parks while reminding us that public transit is a civil right. Transit Equity Day highlights Parks’ act of resistance and connects it to the right of all people and communities today to have high-quality public transportation that runs on clean, renewable energy.
