Working for you in Washington DC

On this blog we frequently post updates on our local, regional and state advocacy efforts. Although we are focused on the Chicagoland area, we also ocassionally get involved with federal advocacy.

This week, we sent a letter to the U.S. Department of Transportation in response to a request for comments on proposed regulatory changes. In that letter we encouraged the U.S. Department of Transportation to retain important new standards for safety signage, enhance public participation in planning for active transportation and provide more funding flexibility for the early phases of transit planning projects.
