Villa Park Metra station gets a makeover thanks to volunteers

Armed with rakes, brooms, pitchforks, shovels, their bare hands and some serious ambition, a group of over a dozen volunteers set out on Saturday to beautify the Villa Park Metra station.

They also removed rust from several bike racks and trash receptacles and repainted them.

These Villa Park volunteers plan to maintain the work into next spring, inviting others to join in on community service events throughout the year.
