Teens hit 144 L stations… in one day!

Most Chicagoans probably haven't ridden each of the eight lines that make up the L, let alone been to all 144 stations.

But in a quest that measured nine hours and 57 minutes, three west suburban teens made the transit trek one day this past June.

""Starting in Englewood, Andrew Karas, Ryan Sauther and Grace Flaherty wound their way through the city on the L's 224 miles of tracks. The longest continuous branch of the journey for the three Lyon's Township High School graduates was the Blue Line, which they rode all the way from Forest Park to O'Hare.

Ending at the Dan Ryan, the trio unfortunately missed breaking the record for the Chicago L transit feat by a mere 21 minutes. Good effort–there's always next month!
