Lakefront Trail Conditions 2/1/11
With the extremely high winds coming from the ENE on Tuesday and Wednesday, waves are expected to be breaking over the Lakefront Trail in areas close to the water. This will certainly include the area just north and south of Fullerton, South of North Avenue and the stretch from Oak Street to Ohio Street. Other areas, however, may be affected, such as the stretch of Trail at 47th Street, around Oakwood, around 4900 South and any other stretch that has direct exposure to the water.
It is not advisable to ride the Lakefront Trail in these areas during these weather conditions.
