Did You Know?

About one-third of all work trips in Chicago are comprised of people biking, walking, or riding public transit.

Lakefront Trail 4/6/09 report

The strong NE wind is currently (as of 3:00 p.m. on Monday) blowing water over several sections of the Trail. The storm last night and the continuing pounding water is breaking up some of the revetment and some of the asphalt on the Trail. While certainly still passable, water and debris is currently on much of the section between the Oak Street Bend and Ohio Street as well as portions of North Ave to Oak Street Beach and the area immediately south of Fullerton. Please use caution should you decide to use the Trail in these areas.
