Illinois Prairie Path Detour – Aurora Branch Crossing
We wanted to pass on this detour information we just received.
The Canadian National Railroad will be making improvements for service at the IL Prairie Path Aurora Branch crossing. DuPage County is working with the City of Naperville to post a temporary detour that is expected to be up in November.
Trail users will be directed on Frontenac north to Diehl, and on Diehl via sidewalk west to a new side path that will be installed by the railroad west of the tracks.
The temporary detour could be in effect for a while because the County has engaged the services of an engineering firm to explore the feasibility of a grade separation at this crossing.
