Giddy up to the Happy Trails Jamboree on Friday, Oct. 1!

The Happy Trails Jamboree is a “FUNdraising” event to raise money to complete the Calumet-Sag Trail, a 32-mile, multi-use path. When completed in 2012, the trail will run from Lemont to Burnham along 26 miles of waterway, following the banks of the Calumet-Sag Channel and Calumet River.

The event takes place in a cozy, heated tent and the ticket price includes dinner and drinks, silent and live auctions, campfires & s’mores, cow milking contests, dancing, and entertainment by Bernie Glim & The Country Roads Band.

On October 1, 2010, 6 PM to 10 PM, you can wander over to the Lake Katherine Nature Center at 7402 W. Lake Katherine Drive, Palos Heights. Tickets are $50. A Trek Soho bike will be raffled off at the event (retail value $1149, courtesy of Rbikes.com).
