Distracted driving takes another life

On March 7, 2011, two cyclists, husband and wife, were struck by a distracted driver while riding their tandem bicycle near Champaign, IL. The crash left one of the cyclists dead and the other in critical, but stable, condition.

The driver admitted that he was reading a plat book (a book of land maps) when he hit the cyclists. This incident is yet another reminder of how deadly distracted driving is.
