Countryside active transportation plan in the works

Countryside Mayor Ed Krzeminski joined other Countryside residents at city hall last Thursday to discuss the city’s active transportation plan.

/Community members shared their insight with Active Trans on how to improve local conditions for walkers and bicyclists. Participants mapped out their preferred biking and walking routes and destinations, as well as the hazards and barriers that keep them from getting around on foot or by bike.

Already a thriving commercial community, the city seeks to diversify its businesses and attract more visitors. Participants discussed how developing a bike/pedestrian network that safely connects people to key destinations will benefit residents and could help fulfill these objectives.
