Quoted in the Peoria Journal-Star, Moyer summed up the race, “I can't believe I stayed out there. I think I was on that lead for 25 minutes maybe. It was hot, and I couldn't see where everyone was … I expected them to chase, come get me.
But my team really took care of things back there and controlled the race behind me.

This most recent win was Moyer’s second state championship in less than a year. He also took home the points race jersey in the state championships at the Ed Rudolph Velodrome in Northbrook last August.

Dave Moyer is grad student of public policy at the University of Chicago and has been a member of Active Transportation Alliance since 2008. I'm an ATA member because I bike hundreds of miles per week commuting and training in Chicagoland; I rely on Active Trans to advocate on my behalf
