Active Trans is pleased to be a partner for the bicycle portion of the fifth annual Chicago Calling Arts Festival. The evening entitled Bicycles and the Arts will take place on Friday, Oct. 1 at the Happy Dog Gallery in Wicker Park ($7 suggested donation).

Enjoy bicycle-themed painting and sculptures; a reading from John Greenfield's new book Bars Across America: Drinking and Biking from Coast to Coast; a musical performance paying homage to when Frank Zappa taught Steve Allen how to play a bicycle as a musical instrument; and much more.
