Can you find a great day on the CTA — a.k.a. an elevator status board with “All elevators in service”?

Know how to find hidden treasures in the Chicago Pedway?

Looking to lend a hand to Active Trans’ community partners and our current initatives?

All of these opportunities and adventures are yours to be had during Active Trans’ inaugural social media scavenger hunt, Ride ‘N Seek!

The hunt began August 3 and goes until August 12.

Conceived by Active Trans’ Membership Associates junior board, seekers use Twitter and Instagram to capture photographs of clues, post them on their social media accounts for points, and flex their exploring muscles by foot, bike and transit.

Clues involve attending programming with Go! Garfield Park, enjoying experiences at our sponsors and bike friendly businesses, and discovering (or re-discovering!) car-free Chicago.

While some clues are self-explanatory, others involve clever thinking and a sense of adventure.

Individuals or teams of up to four people can register online.

After signing up, you can post clues with the hashtag #RNSActiveTrans and your team name, if applicable.

All week we’ll be re-posting some great photos.

Finally, we’ll have our finish line party at Spoke and Bird on Saturday, August 13, where we’ll award prizes, have giveaways, hold raffles and show off creative, funny and just plain cool pictures.

Sign up at http://www.activetrans.org/ride-n-seek.

The hunt ends at 12 p.m. August 12.

And if you’re interested in learning more about our young professional board, please email membership@activetrans.org.

See you on the hunt!
